One of the most popular monarchs in Nigeria, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Dr. Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, who recently celebrated his 76th birthday in grand style, has shown how he keeps fit for the sake of his pretty wives.
The Oyo monarch, who was once an insurance clerk and boxer before he came Alaafin of Oyo, has recently shown that old age is not an excuse not to work out. The traditional ruler who likes travelling and moving around in the company of his four wives is now 77-year-old and he is still going strong like a youth.
The monarch succeeded Alaafin Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II in 1970, during the governorship of Colonel Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, after the end of the Nigerian Civil War. He recently went on a shopping spree with his wives in London.
